Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Grated apple, cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg make this jar taste just like apple pie filling cosy, sweet and spiced.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1 apple grated
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Method
 

  1. Combine the oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and nutmeg in a jar.
  2. Add the milk, yoghurt and maple syrup and stir well.
  3. Fold through most of the grated apple, seal and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Warm gently or enjoy cold, topped with the reserved apple and a few chopped pecans.

Notes

A handful of crushed digestive biscuit on top adds a pie-crust crunch.
