Melktert (Milk Tart) Overnight Oats
Creamy, cinnamon-dusted oats inspired by South Africa’s classic melktert gentle, milky and nostalgic.

Method
- Stir the oats and chia seeds in a jar.
- Add the milk, yoghurt, vanilla and honey and mix well keep it on the milky side.
- Seal and refrigerate overnight.
- Dust generously with cinnamon in the morning, just like a melktert.
Notes
Use extra milk for that signature soft, custardy texture. A crushed Tennis biscuit on top nods to the crust.
