Cape Malay Spiced Overnight Oats

Warming cardamom, cinnamon and a whisper of clove bring fragrant Cape Malay spice to a gut-friendly jar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground clove
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sultanas

Method
 

  1. Stir the oats, chia seeds and spices together in a jar.
  2. Add the milk, yoghurt and honey and mix well.
  3. Fold through the sultanas, seal and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Top with chopped almonds and a pinch more cinnamon.

Notes

The yoghurt and spices make this gentle on the gut. A proudly Cape flavour combination.
