Naartjie & Honey Overnight Oats

Sweet, fragrant naartjie segments and local honey make a bright, sunny winter-citrus jar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1 naartjie segmented
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp naartjie zest

Method
 

  1. Stir the oats, chia seeds and naartjie zest in a jar.
  2. Add the milk, yoghurt and honey and mix well.
  3. Fold through half the naartjie segments, seal and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Top with the remaining segments and a drizzle of honey.

Notes

Naartjies are at their best in SA winter use any easy-peeler citrus year-round.
