Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 buttermilk rusk crumbled

Method

  1. Stir the oats, chia seeds and cinnamon in a jar.
  2. Add the milk, buttermilk, yoghurt and honey and mix well.
  3. Seal and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Crumble the rusk over the top in the morning for that classic dunk-in-coffee crunch.

Notes

Add the rusk just before eating so it keeps some crunch. A proudly SA breakfast nostalgia jar.
